Using the Tools and Effects available, we will select portions of a piece of music, adjust their volume, combine them in a different sequence and create a new piece of music with a specified duration. This field trip is one of Carl Sparfeld's most popular. We work the barrios (neighborhoods) on both sides of the Tucson Convention Center. You'll find lots of interesting sites and colorful architecture. This trip is great for all levels of photographers, but especially beginners since Carl is there to answer any of your questions and point out items of interest.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. We work a few blocks, then drive to the next area of interest.
Meet at the Camera Club and carpool. There will be a lunch stop following the field trip, if you choose to attend. There is no charge for this field trip.

2012 Green Valley Damage Prevention Seminar

This important safety seminar is FREE to all excavation personnel working in Arizona.
All attendees - Please cooperate with the following conditions:
- Companies are welcome to send multiple attendees; however, a registration form must be completed for each individual.
- Attendees are expected to honor their RSVP. This is a FREE event. Substitutions can be made at any time.
- Seminar conduct conditions: For the benefit of all seminar participants, attendees are expected to exhibit professional and courteous behavior at all times. Alcohol will not be served or permitted at this event. At their discretion, the seminar organizers reserve the right to refuse entry and/or continued participation to any individual that is disruptive to the event.
Seminar will begin promptly at 5pm with onsite check-in beginning at 4:30pm
Program duration is 2 and 1/2 hours.

Do you have photographs languishing on your computer that are calling out to be put into a scrapbook? Family photos, great trips or just everyday events? You can create wonderful pages to put into a book to pass along to your children, or provide wonderful memories for yourself.
This workshop will provide you with some basic techniques to get you started. There are many websites that provide free background pages, decorative elements, etc., in addition to individual pieces to create beautiful scrapbook pages.
A basic knowledge of PS Elements and layers is highly recommended.

Back by popular demand, this is the same trip as scheduled earlier in March. There is no need to attend this trip if you were on the first one.
Here you will see the large equipment up close and personal and learn of the importance that Caterpiller has played in building roads, etc..their testing grounds is located on old Indian grounds.

Meet at the Camera Club at 12:00 Noon and carpool. Lunch is at 12:30PM with the tour to follow.

Video Editing with Premiere Elements

This six-week course will cover the following topics: (1) Creating a project in Premiere Elements 8 or 9; (2) Organizing material in folders; (3) Various editing tools for video clips, still images and audio clips; (4) Using Keyframes and Properties; (5) Using Transitions and Titles, Music and Narrative, Menus; and (6) Burning to folders and DVDs.
Course Prerequisites: Students must be comfortable with the tools used in Windows Explorer on Vista: Creating new folders, naming them and moving files between folders.
The six-week course runs on Wednesdays, January 25, February 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 1-3pm in the Hands On Room.
